Crane Conference Room Table

Specs:

5' x 15' x 30" tall conference room table. 3/4" thick glass top. Silver powder coat.

One of a kind (unless I can find another decommissioned crane, in which case I'd love to make something like this again). 

The Story:

 In 2007 a large civil engineering company that I have a relationship with was designing their new corporate headquarters in Farmingdale. Among many things that I worked on for them was an idea that they challenged me with. They had a decommissioned jib arm of a crane in what was being built as their new conference room. I knew everyone in my shop would think I'm crazy, but I couldn't resist the challenge. They had to break through one of the walls to get the crane out of the building and over to my shop. I retained everything that I could from the crane to keep it's authenticity and added some new pieces to make it into what you see below. This is probably my first commission and a piece that I still love.
