Longview Dining Table

Specs:

42" x 108" x 30" tall. 1" x 3" steel base for the base, 1/2" thick polished edge glass and two 1.75" thick live edge wood slabs. Base has lightly black tinted satin lacquer. Wood slabs have light caramel colored stain with a satin sheen.

The Story:     

This table was designed for clients that were looking for a showpiece in their newly renovated home. They had a few tables that they were considering and I took inspiration from those as a springboard to create this stunning piece. A live edge table top was something that they were very interested in and I took that and literally turned it around on them. The hard steel base is a beautiful counterpoint to the organic live edge wood top. Making the curved base pushed this table to another level. It was a challenge and a learning experience making this table and I look forward to the opportunity to make more of them in the future.
