Lotus Dining Table

Specs:

30" tall dining table. 1/2" thick x 60" round glass top. Fabricated completely from 1/8" thick steel plate. Custom tinted lacquer finish. (GR1071)

The Story:

This dining table was designed from inspiration drawn from my wife who told me that she sees a lack of round, steel dining room tables on the market (she's an interior designer). I wanted to do something with an organic feel and this is where my brain led me. I feel there's a sense of space and openness in this table from the layering of the petals and when looking down through the glass. There are chairs in the works, but they're still gestating in my head for now.
