Ellipse End Table

Specs:

24" tall. 1/2" thick x 28" diameter glass table top. Fabricated from 1/4" steel plate with a brushed finish following the shape of the forms. After grinding the material it is then shot with black tinted clear lacquer to accentuate the directional grain. (GR1075)

The Story:

This table was designed for a client on Manhattan's upper west side, in December of 2013, that had just re-done their kitchen and had granite left over from the slab that they had to buy to make their counter tops. They wanted a round end table with a chrome base. The only direction I received was for the table to be round and a general height. I love the way the forms of this table interact with each other. This table has a kinetic quality to it. It is perfectly symmetrical. The way the reflections play off of the shapes is quite beautiful.
